This Privacy Policy explains how Abhijit Maruti Chaudhary ("we", "us", "our") handles your information in the Nivoo Friend mobile application (the "App"). Nivoo Friend is a personal assistant app that helps you manage tasks, reminders, medicines, habits, notes, mood, and more.

The short version: Nivoo Friend stores your personal information only on your own device. We do not run accounts or servers that collect it, and we cannot see your tasks, medicines, mood entries, journal, or notes. When you choose to use AI or premium voice features, your requests are sent — using your own API keys — directly to the third-party services you set up (such as Google's Gemini). This policy explains the details.

1. Information stored on your device

Everything you create in Nivoo Friend is saved in a database on your device only. This includes:

Tasks, reminders, to-dos and shopping lists
Medicines and medicine schedules
Habits and habit progress
Notes and journal entries
Mood entries
Birthdays and personal reminders
Your app settings and preferences (voice choice, schedule times, personality, etc.)

We do not collect, transmit, or store this information on any server we control. It stays on your device and is removed if you delete the data in the App or uninstall the App.

2. Your API keys (Bring-Your-Own-Key)

Nivoo Friend works using API keys that you provide for third-party services. Depending on which features you enable, these may include:

A Google Gemini API key (for the AI assistant features)
A Google Cloud Text-to-Speech key (optional premium voices)
An ElevenLabs API key and voice ID (optional cloned/premium voices)

These keys are stored locally on your device and are used only to send your requests to the corresponding service on your behalf. We do not transmit your keys to our own servers, and we do not have access to them.

3. Information sent to third-party services

Because Nivoo Friend uses your own keys to talk directly to third-party services, some of the text you enter is sent to those services when you use certain features:

AI features (Google Gemini): When you ask the assistant to do something or add items, the text of your request may be sent to Google's Gemini API using your key so it can be understood and processed. This is subject to Google's privacy terms.
Premium voices (Google Cloud Text-to-Speech / ElevenLabs): If you enable these, the text to be spoken aloud is sent to that service using your key, subject to that provider's privacy terms.

4. Microphone and voice input

If you use voice input, the App uses your device's microphone and your device's built-in speech recognition to convert your speech to text. On many Android devices this speech recognition is provided by the device operating system (for example, Google's speech services) and may process audio to produce text. Nivoo Friend does not record, save, or upload your voice audio to us.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Nivoo Friend offers a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your card number, bank details, or other payment credentials — these are handled entirely by Google. Your purchase and subscription status are managed through your Google Play account, subject to Google Play's terms and privacy policy.

6. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not include third-party advertising in the App.
We do not build advertising profiles from your entries.

7. Permissions the App uses

Microphone — for voice input, only when you use it.
Notifications — to deliver reminders, briefings and wellness nudges.
Alarms & scheduling — to trigger reminders and scheduled notifications at the right time.
Internet access — to send requests to the AI and voice services you have set up with your own keys.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it:

You can delete individual items (tasks, notes, medicines, etc.) within the App at any time.
You can clear your API keys in the App's settings.
Uninstalling the App removes the App's locally stored data from your device.

9. Children's privacy

Nivoo Friend is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because Nivoo Friend stores your data locally on your device and we do not hold it on our servers, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App by editing or deleting your data. 11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated within the App.
